Lysos is located about 33 kilometers north-east of Pafos.The village is well connected with a new road that is now under construction leading to Polis in approximately 5 minutes. The village is set on a beautiful mountain surrounded by uninterrupted beautiful nature. Standing in a peaceful location amidst of the Paphos forest and the Polis Chrysochous area.
The village is built at an average altitude of 560 meters and it borders with the Nicosia district in the east. The village of Lysos is above the humidity line and can offer you enjoyable summer days with the view of the blue Mediterranean sea. The village's highest point is "Tripylos" (1,362 meters), located in the most eastern section of the village, in the "Stavros Tis Psokas" region.
The beachfront town of Polis Chrysochous is 15 minutes drive away, where you can find shops, supermarkets and local restaurants. Akamas National park is closed to the village where you can enjoy the magnificent unspoiled nature of the area.
Going east from Lysos towards Paphos Forest, you will come across the Stavros Tis Psokas Forest Station. Further east towards Nicosia is the resplendent Kykko Monastery, the richest and most historic of the island's thousand year-old monastic past. Continuing from there you will find the mountain resort of Troodos.
